Our Window Box Planter is made with one-inch thick frames and one-third-inch thick by two-inch wide vertical slats. They are available in sizes up to 10 gallons. The Window Planters are very popular on balconies too. They are well-priced sturdy little planters that are shipped fully assembled and are available in custom dimensions up to ten inches wide by 10 inches high by 96 inches long.

Planters are available in any size or style. Please contact us if you want a size that you don't see.

Redwood is so decay resistant that our planters do not need liners of any kind. Our planters are built with extra-thick high quality Redwood and fastened with stainless steel bolts and deck screws. There is nothing to decay, nothing to rust. Planter bottoms are elevated one inch off of the ground for easy drainage. You can add soil directly into the planter box - no pots, interior liners or sealants are necessary. Drainage holes are 1/4-inch round and are scattered generously over the planter bottom. All planter sizes are overbuilt to prevent bulging or sagging.

We also offer hanging cleats for planters up to 144"L X 12"H X 12"W— the cleats will be made with the same redwood grade as your planter. The cleats are shipped with the male portions already attached to the planter. We ship the female cleats loose—and include stainless steel screws—so that you can screw them into the wall. We'll attach two, three or more cleat pairs depending on the planter size, but your cost for the cleats is the same: $15 per planter. Click on the photos at right for more information.

We can make Water Trays for planters in any size that you need. They can be made to sit outside the planter box as shown, or for larger planters, they can be built to sit inside the box where you can place potted plants. You can add a base to any of the window boxes to elevate the bottom off the floor or window 3/4 inch. Just choose "add base" at checkout (no extra charge).

We can custom build and ship Planter Boxes in any dimensions up to 14-Feet long anywhere in the U.S. Standard shipping rates apply. In California we deliver planter boxes up to 20-Feet long. (If you live outside California and want a planter over 14-feet long, please contact us for a quote.) Most packages ship via UPS. Your furniture can be finished in one of five ways (select during checkout):

Standard Semi-Transparent Sealant
If you want to keep the natural redwood tones— see images above. (Young-Growth will be stained to appear like Mature-Growth; click here for more information.)
Unfinished
If you prefer your finish to fade to a "weathered look" quickly, or want to apply a custom stain.
Off-White Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a light color. (We apply two coats.)
Gray Oil-Based Primer
If you're going to paint in a darker color. (We apply two coats.)
Wax Finish
If you plan to use your furniture indoors and would like to keep it looking great without sealant or paint.

Want to use our planters indoors with a wax finish? If you plan to use your planter indoors and wish to have a wax finish applied (no sealant or primer), we will only apply the wax to the outside of the box, not to the areas that will hold soil.

Growing Veggies? Any planter can be ordered without interior treatment - just write us a note as you're checking out, and we will not use our oil-based sealant inside the box. We will seal the box on the outside only. The planter box will not decay because it is high quality redwood.
